The '''Seed of Winter''' is a powerful artifact once belonging to the [[Prince of Frost]].

Many years ago, the Prince of Frost gave it to one of his most trusted servants to wage war on the Summer Court; the servant returned in defeat, without the Seed of Winter, and neither were seen again.

In [[calendar|2959]], while defending the [[Trine Academy]] from an attack by [[Theriana]], the kercpa [[Chrip]] discovered the Seed of Winter in the academy's vaults. Instantly recognizing it, he pocketed the Seed and "promised" that he would return it.
