The Elemental Chaos is a massive chaotic plane of elemental energy. It was created during the Deity War, when the four elemental planes of fire, earth, water, and air collapsed into each other. The catalyst for this event is widely believed to be the draining of the Negative Energy Plane into the Plane of Shadow (which created the Shadowfell), which unbalanced the Inner Planes.
