'''Arino''' is a member of the [[City States of Cimmer]] and is called the City of Towers.  Because of the natural boundaries of river and cliffs, Arino has no need of a city wall.  At one point during the city’s history, the controlling families contested each other by showed their wealth and power by building the highest tower. However, when several of these towers collapsed with fatalities, the city council put a height limit into law and most of the tower building stopped. The controlling families now compete by using their wealth giving elaborate festivals.
 
The [[Great Canal]] connects Arino with the [[Elissan River]] that eventually makes its way down to [[Thess]].
