Urgog the Mangler was a goblin chieftain in the Dawning Woods. For a long time his goblins simply struck out at lone travelers or other easy targets of opportunity, until he was contacted by an agent of the drow. Urgog was given a relic that could summon and control spiders in exchange for destroying Brightstone Keep. He never got the chance to fulfill his end of the bargain, however, as he was slain by Tephra, Harthur Grai, Gryff, and Nuraya in retaliation for the goblins' aggression against travelers.
