Garin Sunflare is Leardon's son with Gremaka. Leardon encouraged his son to go out adventuring, to see firsthand what life was like for the people of the world and help them. These encouragements led him to become a paladin of Evening Glory.

After Leardon became the ruler of Palmheart, he told his son that the title of prince was meaningless if he did not earn it by rallying the people on his own merit. He is married to a half-elf cleric of Evening Glory named Esmerelda.

In 2970, he was crowned king when Leardon abdicated following Gremaka's death.
