Emerald dragon

Emerald dragons are a type of gem dragon. Though they share an inquisitive nature with crystal dragons, emerald dragons tend to focus on history and customs in addition to having a distinctly paranoid streak. They typically settle near populated areas (though not so near that their presence becomes known, if they can avoid it), with some favoring extinct volcanoes when available. These latter dragons often rouse the attention of fire giants, who become frequent targets of the emerald dragons' deafening sonic blasts.
