Garlandar is a town in northern Orodeth. Its population is primarily orcs and goblinoids.

In 2966, a band of heroes slew the hill giant chieftain Nosnra and liberated his orc slaves. The half-orc rogue Garland made a particular impression on the slaves, who saw them as their savior and hero. After Garland and their companions moved on, the slaves claimed Nosnra's fortress for themselves and named it Garlandar in his honor. Having been captured from various orc tribes throughout the area, they instead created a new clan for themselves, calling it the Burning Blade after Garland's fiery dagger.

Rather than continue to raid and pillage as their previous tribes had done, however, they instead sought to trade with nearby Northeron while hunting nearby threats such as giants and hostile orcs. Eventually a new northern road was built running through Garlandar to Northeron, cementing their position as a local trade hub.
