When Tol was captured by the wizard Sionaas, Torgar rallied his friend's adventuring companions to save him. His greataxe, Wintersbite, is enchanted with magical frost.

When Tol's adventuring companion Myra Brigg sent the Challengers of the Unspeakable to recruit the Iron Skulls, however, they were told that Torgar had died.
