Amethyst dragon

Amethyst dragons are a type of gem dragon. Diplomatic and easy-going, they prefer to talk rather than fight. However, when diplomacy fails, their wrath is legendary. They can spit amethyst crystals that explode with a blast of concussive force. They prefer to lair along coastlines and other places with constant supplies of fish, which makes up the bulk of their diet. Though they rarely engage in territorial disputes due to favoring different environments, amethyst dragons have a noted dislike of red, white, silver, and copper dragons.
