Revenant

Revenants are a form of intelligent free-willed undead. It is not fully known how they are created; in most cases, a dead individual has arisen spontaneously as a revenant. Though a revenant is physically undead, the individual's soul still remains in the body; as a result they have nearly all the abilities they had in life.
